Motor Painting

Hate to disagree, but my 29 Essex, all original with nothing replaced but
the tires and liquids has the pan painted green to match the rest of the
motor.
I have also seen several sidevalve motors that looked to be original and had been assembled from prepainted components. Pan, block, head & accessories painted black. Somewhere I have a few snaps of Perry Spring's thought to be original '29 motor while it was still original. That motor was also assembeled from prepainted components and not sprayed after it was together. If I can find some of those pics I'll post them.
