Again, the export models appear to be different - I
have never seen a painted sump on an original motor. They appear to
be made of alloy steel - perhaps Cadmium or Zinc.

sidevalve motors that looked to be original and had been assembled from
prepainted components. Pan, block, head & accessories painted black.
Somewhere I have a few snaps of Perry Spring's thought to be original '29
motor while it was still original. That motor was also assembeled from
prepainted components and not sprayed after it was together. If I can find
some of those pics I'll post them.
