1929 Cooling system ??

I just drained my cooling system and I want to now if you use antifreeze in your system ? I have an original Bee Hive radiator with no leaks. I live in southern calif. so no freeze here. I plan on installing the Geoff pump seals and testing with water..Should I just run water, or add antifreeze ? Thanks Ron
