Information wanted on 1916 race cars

Hello to everyone on this Hudson site. I am a new member (Jeff

Stumb), and I am looking for information on a couple of 1916 Hudson

race cars.

The first is a car driven by Ralph Mulford that set the 24-hour

record at Sheepshead Bay and the 1-mile record at Daytona Beach.

There is a photo of the car on the Hudson SS race cars site posted

several years ago by Paul O'Neill (it's under the links of this site).

I plan on building a replica of this car, but I am looking for more

information.

Also, I am looking for any information on the 1916 Hudson driven by

Mulford that won the first Pike's Peak race in August of 1916. I am

already building a 1916 Hudson Hillclimber and plan on celebrating

the 90th anniversary of the Hudson's Pike's Peak victory by entering

my car in the 2006 Great Race.

This summer, my wife and I raced a 1916 Hudson Cabriolet in the Great

Race from Washington D.C. to Washington State.

Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Jeff
