I installed the carb. vacuum tank, with hose into a 2 gallon gas container and got the old girl running. The carb worked like you said and she purrrrrred like a kitten. The vacuum tank did its job like a good vacuum tank should. While I let it run I tried the clutch. To my amazment it fell right into gear..Boy was I surprised at that. No stuck clutch. I then hooked up my new gas sending unit (While she was running) and it worked. Must have a bad connection because it will only work when the engine is running and not with the key on..I will look into that more. When I let her run for a little while I shut her down. About 5 minutes later I started her by just pushing the starter. It never started like that before. I always had to choke and play with it to start her..If any of you old Hudson people need work on your Hudson. The cost of sending it to New Zealand is well worth it. Thanks for your help Geoff
