Long Ago and Far Away

It's been a year or two since I was actively participating in the

posting of stuff hereon. In fact, I looked through the membership

roster and there are only about 5 that I recognize (from nicknames)

and one of them is an old one of mine. If the Grand Poobah would

please remove my old nick "tom_cos", I would appreciate it. I

haven't lived in Colorado Springs (COS) since 2003. I now live in

Mexico and I still own a '28 Hudson 5-Passenger stored in a shed in

Texas. I'm going to sell it someplace but I thought I would let the

BB know first. It was running about 2 years ago when I put it in

the shed. It wasn't driveable unless going downhill with a strong

tail wind...I had managed to strip the rivets out of the clutch

plate and it was towed in. I have kept the engine free by turning

it over or running it about every 3 months or so and I think it is

so now. It isn't running because I took 5 out of 6 of the plugs out

and squirted oil in the cylinders....the 6th one is stuck and I

don't presently have a suitable sparkplug wrench. If anyone has

interest, let me know by e mail and I can supply some pictures and

we can talk about it. I really don't want to put it on EBay

because....well, I have no idea why but I just don't.



The discussions seem to run to three or four main subjects:

Marvel "ous" Carburetors, Parts Interchange and Split Rims...with a

few occasional deviations. I do have a few Marvel parts from the

remnants of two carbs that I took apart to make one good one.

Notably, I have a potmetal float bowl and float (no lid) that is in

pretty good shape and some other stuff. Seems like the carb is

an "E" or "H", I forget.



I have run on enough for one day. Hello to everybody and I will

keep reading fairly frequently.
