The exhaust guides have a collar on the bottom, so must be driven out from

the top, or use a suitable extractor if you can make one up. They are an

"interference fit". It's not unusual for these to break off when you try

do rive them down, as they get fairly brittle, so unles s you have a new set

to put in I would think twice about removing them. they can be reamed out

and new internal linerf fiteed, which are bronze compostition, but you must

allow .003 minimum lateral clearance or the valve will bind when hot. Any

good reconditioning shop should be able to do this for you.
