Re: [HSS] Tail light for a 25 coupe

Apparently, the one that is on there is off another make of vehicle. I
ordered a replacement lense, but it doesn't fit.
I have a single tail light with 2 bulbs, 1 for the tail light, 1 for
the brake light, with a clear lens on the bottom for the license plate.
If anyone has a spare they would be willing to part with, or if anyone
has had one made, I would appreciate the information.
Thanks.

Hi JC, if the pics on the site you mentioned are of your car, it is a gorgeous big sedan, possibly a 7 passenger sedan and not a Coupe. Hudson didn't built Coupes in the middle years and they had to be custom ordered from an outside body builder. Only one is know to have survived.
The taillight on the sedan looks close, but not quite the same. Several nice big detailed pics might help us ID your taillight as being Hudson or not for sure. These show up regularly at swaps so keep an eye peeled. The design is like a can and
HUDSON
ESSEX
Twinlight
is embossed on the top of the can. The is a smaller one that the Essex cars used.
