Can You Identify My Block?
I am trying to rebuild my 1929 Hudson engine. My block turns out to
have three small cracks from exhaust valve to the cylinder wall.
But, I was given a spare block with my car, which I cleaned up and
machined flat in preparation for magn-fluxing.
AFTER I got it all cleaned and dressed I realized that while it looks
like my Hudson block, it has both intake and exhaust valves in the
block.
I am guessing it is a similar vintage Essex engine. So a) can someone
identify it for me if I send a picture and b) does anyone need a good
deal on whatever this is?
In the meantine I be stripping down another engine and 'Searching for
Mr Goodblock'.
