My model M 1918 Super Six 7 passenger Phaeton has both the built in hand vacuum pump and the aircraft style hand primer pump. They are both located on the upper left hand dash board area. (near the radiator shutter control knob) These are both original equipment and are pictured in the illustrated parts manual as well as the owners manual. I suspect that these pumps may have been dropped from the later models built in the 1920's......
Thanks for this clarification. I would have to guess that empty vacuum tanks had to be an issue with the earlier cars. Perhaps the float valves were poor? In any case, both of these items were gone by '24.
