Itr can be straightnened out, but takes much time, skill and patience. What

I did with my '29 was use a plain "J" channel, and nailed it in place, then

covered it over with a half-round aluminium bead, using a neutral cure

silicone as a sealer in between. I countersunk the nails into the

half-round, and filled over the nail heads with epoxy, then sanded and

painted. Looks almost like the original. I used copper boat nails, so they

shouldn't corrode or fall out . Now Lew will probably tell me there will be

a fatal galvanic action! Good luck,
