a great source for nuts and bolts
I stumbled across a great source for nuts and bolts, with the largest
array of styles, materials and dimensions I have found anywhere online.
check out Bolt Depot at:

they have (among other things) chromed wood screws all the way down
to tiny sizes, and chromed hex-head bolts, which would be vastly
superior to stainless steel in any old-car application where the
bolts would be in contact with body steel or aluminum, from a
galvanic potential standpoint, with a galvanic potential of only 0.02
volt. there's a functional reason for chrome plating, not just
because it's shiny!
