Move it!

Alex,
In those days I could move it! Now I know
this is drifting into the realms of the - what's the word - yes, vulgar, or
perhaps tacky, but the back seat of the '29 Landau was very, shall we
say, comfortable. And private, too. I had a '27 Buick tourer
and it just didn't compare, though I have wonderful memories of a
gal putting a foot through one of the Buick side curtains in a moment of
passion. She never did understand why I was upset - claimed that banjo
players have no sense of humor....

Changing the subject but not the era, we went to
see Walk The Line a few nights back. I saw Johnny Cash live here
in Oz when I was about 16 and it really brought back some memories of those
days.

One of the guys who used to be in our local vintage
CC recently put together an article on how he got hooked on old cars. It
was really fascinating, as he was looking back into the '50s and giving us a
picture of life as it was in those days. The attached pic was taken about
1955. Paul, it's a 1913.

me that when he dropped his girlfriend off home very late at night, he
would turn off the m otor and use the starter to run the car as it
was quieter, so the parents wouldnt wake up. Havent tested it yet, just

positive attitude may not solve all your problems,
but it will annoy enough
people to make it worth the effort.
