****Definitely go for the 600-19, rather than the 5.50, as the latter are

usually only 4 ply rating, and small profile, which affects riding,

handling, and overall gear ratio.

****Probably, but try the car on the road first. If you don;t have any wheel

bounce or steering wheel tremor, don't bother. If the steering wheel

shakes, you can balance the wheels yourself reasonably by loosening off the

brakes so the wheel spins totally free. Spin it lightly until it comes to

rest, and see if it "pendulums". If so, add weights on both sides at the

top of the wheel, and re-spin until the whell does not go back and forth as

it comes to rest.

***You can get proper rim spreaders, which wind the rim over centre for

removal of the tyres, but the easiest way if you don't have one of these is

to lever the ends up and across, so they are in a spiral, and then gently

pry off moving around the tyre. Difficult with the ridged rims Hudson used.

On your '27 Hudson the locking system should be hole and peg, and in '29

they went to a toggle lever lock.
