Subject: [HSS] Split-Rim Tool - on Ebay -

"Ron P" on the HET forum asked me to post this here -

There is a "Split-Rim Tool" on Ebay, which someone on this forum may be
    able to use - Ebay # 4629852065.

Not my auction, but thought there might be some interest & the tool
looks to be in good shape.

Appears that this Ebay seller has a lot of other useful tools & parts
    as well.

    Regards -

    Rick

    Hullo  one and all,
Although  I have a rim spreader, I've found the most useful tool for closing up a split rim is the one made up for me by a friend of mine (whose engineering skills I regard with the kind of awe I normally reserve for Geoff Clark).  With two screwdrivers through the holes in the smaller plates to fasten it to the lever it closes up the rim once the tyre (UK spelling!) flap and inner tube have been installed.  See photo attached,  I'm sure something similar could easily be fabricated if you want to try it.
