New to Forum
Hello to All,
I am Bob and have been following your forum for about a month and a half now. About two and a half months ago I purchased a 1951 Super Six two-door Brougham Sedan. The car runs and moves and most everything seems to work, but it needs a restoration. I really want to keep it as original as possible, but I do want the car to be a good driver.
I joined HET shortly after I bought the car. It seems to be a really helpful organization. I am new to the Hudson hobby, but not to the classic car hobby. My other two "children" are a 1961 Willys Pickup and a 1985 AMC Eagle Limited Wagon.
I have many questions and I know I will be asking stuff that has already been addressed, but I can really use the advice.
Thanks and nice to meet all of you.
Bob

Welcome Bob!
How could you stand sitting on the sidelines so long?0 -
Welcome to the wonderful world of Hudsons and the HET club. Have you looked into the local chapter that serves your area? Not sure which one, but I am sure someone will know and advise here.
You will find that the Hudson folks are always willing to help with advise etc. to aid you in your project and it also helps to keep your interest up.
I own a 51 Pacemaker coupe, needs interior but mechanically sound and reliable. Been a member since 1985.
Again WELCOME!!

Bill,
Thank you. I am from the Scranton, Pennsylvania area (actually a small town northwest of Scranton, called Glenburn).
Thanks also to you Dan for the welcome. It was hard to just read and not be able to ask or respond, but things always seemed to get in the way. I am sure you guys know what I mean.

Welcome aboard Bob. Nice relatively rare car. Charlie from Binghamton has one like it.
Let us know what you need help with.

Jim,
Thanks for the welcome. As you can see from my reply to Bill A., I am from northeastern PA.
I look forward (really need) all the advice I can get.
Thanks,

Thanks.
It really needs some work just to get it back on the road. Brakes, fuel tank cleaning, new fuel lines, sheetmetal, some glass and then the body work and interior. It is running off a jug under the hood right now. I am hoping by late spring of 2007 it will be road worthy.0 -
Hi Bob, Cliff Minard here from Stevensville, Pa. I am probably about an hours drive from you & have considerable knowledge about these cars plus currently owning 3 of them. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any help I may be able to give & let me know if you would like my address & phone number?0

Hi Bob! Welcome aboard and you'll find lots of good help around here.

Uncle Josh,
Pleased to meet you. I checked out you pictures. Really cool cars! What can you tell me about the "Legendary Wells" Hudson. I realy like the looks of that one and is that the original two-tone blue?

Hi Cliff,
Glad to meet you. I really would like to get to meet you in person. I can use all the help I can get.

Hi Jay,
Nice to meet you as well.

The chapter in Penn. is actually pretty good size and pretty active. You shouldn't have too much trouble getting help locally.0

Welcome aboard, Bob - you've just joined the greatest bunch of nut cases in the country, if not the world. I've been a member of the HET club for some 35 years - and have not regretted a single moment.
I'm in southern Maine (so I'm a Mainiac), myself. Be looking forward to meeting you, if not at the National meet in Auburn, IN, next summer, then surely the 2008 National meet in Marlborough, MA.
Hudsonly,
