Paul and Co. in the US, I've been to Ontario CA and what I recall is (a)

that stunning view up to the mountains and (b) the aroma in the air. We look

forward to your report!

This meet is going to be something special. When doing the program, it was easy to see all of the events that have been crammed into the 4 day space. Highlights include a tour to the national NHRA Museum and another tour to California Motor Speedway, home of the CART Cal 500 and the NASCAR 500 among other things. We are going to be allowed to run laps! Too bad I'll miss that day. Can you imagine the '26 flat-out on the backstretch clocking upwards of 40 mph? That is sure to be some sort of record . . .

There is also going to be a tour to a movie theater to add more hoopla to the launch of Carz the movie. Special windshield "eyes" have been made for the event.

The keynote speaker will be our own Lew Phelps and we will have cocktails and dinner to the sounds a live Dixieland band. I play with some of these guys at the jazz club meetings and they are pretty good.

The real stars of the meet will be the cars. Special efforts have been made to get the early iron out, and we expect to see cars rarely or even never out before. Several brass Hudsons are expected and the turnout of twenties cars should be unprecedented. I'll be surprised if we don't see at least 3 '29 Coupes as well as several '29 Standard Sedans. Lew plans to bring his '29 Town Sedan and the '29 Roadster from Utah is a good possibility.

There are plenty of other twenties cars in the area and there will never be a better time to see them. We'll keep you posted!

Paul
