I'll wait to here what Geoff has to say about the 5/8, but can tell you that the directions for adjusting the chain are in the owner's manual. There may be other things to check while you are in there. My '29 had the thrust button missing and something had to be cobbled up. If the chain is worn, this is the time to replace it. Much of the disassembly has already been done.
