I got to looking at a hudson instruction book  circa feb 1927" that I got with my car when I bought it and in that book is a full wiring diagram showing the neg ground.

I guess its Hudson's repair manual it shows a lot of information pertaining to the car's accessories carburetor,cooling system,corrective data,electrical system.ing timing, wiring ,brake adjustment, chain,the list goes on and onlubercation instructions,operating instructions starting instructions....

thanks for your help. so now its off to the shop to get the starter back in along with the genarator
