steering box
Im posting some pictures under the 1927 thats really a 1926' of the
steering box that I took apart and rebuilt using all the old parts.
the reason being is that after so long the worm wheel shaft had built
up enough corosion that it had almost attached it self to the bushing
that it passes through I will make a note on the picture of the two
parts, also the bearings had some solid crud keeping them from turning
in a reasonable mannor.
lots of cleaning by soaking in the parts cleaner.one thing I did
notice on the bearing's was stamped 'worm gear side' that made it easy
to put them back in facing the right way.
