Starter gear problem

G'day guys,

I'm nearing the end-stage of a resurrection of a 1927 7 seater tourer,

and am having a bit of trouble engaging the starter gear. I think I

put it all back together in the correct fashion. Sometimes it will

engage and start, and at other times it will be in "mid-tooth" and not

slip into the ring gear. Any ideas?
