Stewart Carb Pics 1
Attachments :
I took the carb of the '26 this AM after a brief run to verify that the tank was still working and that we still had a problem. Once again, the car started readily, but was too rich. After shutting off the tap under the tank, the motor and the float bowl dry and stopped.
It turned out to be a pretty simple matter to remove the carb & take it apart. The float is dry inside and everything looks fine. The vacuum bell is not stuck and goes up and down freely. I shot a few pics and will attach them two at a time in a total of four emails. If you can spot some trouble, please sing out! This shows the extent of the teardown. I have not removed the seat on the bottom of the float bowl.
