Need Help IDing this Hudson
Hi Guys,
Recently a license plate collecting buddy of mine emailed this picture to myself and a couple of other friends. He said that it's a picture of his Grandfather taken in Birmingham, AL sometime back in the 1920's and wanted to know what the vehicle was and what the two large cylinders on the front are. One of the other guys that received the email replied that its obviously a Diamond T truck..... Yeah, I needed a good laugh today. I told him that its most likely a 1921 or 1922 Hudson and that the cylinders are aftermarket shocks of the period, but their brand name escapes me. Can any of you guys pinpoint the year of this Hudson any closer than me, and do any of you know the name of the shocks (or I guess they're actually dampers, aren't they?) Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Deron Shady
Huntsville, AL
PS: The picture can be found at www.bamaplates.com/images/Norred.JPG if the link doesn't work.
