1927 Graham Bros Stake Bed Truck
I know it is not an HET, but a neighbor is selling a restored 1927 Graham Brothers stake bed truck and it is too great an opportunity to pass on. The neighbor's husband passed some weeks ago and the truck is now on the block.
The GB truck is all Dodge running gear with their own body. Dodge stuff is relatively easy to find and very sturdy. This example was restored perhaps ten years ago. The fellow that just passed bought it and played with it a little and then moved on to other toys. The truck may have been sitting for 5 years or so. When I last saw it then, it looked new. It is painted a bright green and the wood was natural finished. I never saw it move or heard it run, but I have heard it ran very sweetly some years ago when he bought it.
I have had my eye on the truck for years, but now that it is available, I find I have quite enough on my plate as it is. If anyone is interested, the owner can be reached at (714) 272-7639. It is an easy walk for me so if anyone is specifically (not idylly) interested, I can shoot some pics for you.
