Front wheel brakes on early Hudsons
I am a bit concerned about the stopping ability of my 23 once I begin
to drive it. I am sure the rear wheel brakes can stop the wheels from
turning but that does not necessairily mean that the car is going to
stop! This is particularly true as there is so little weight back
there. As I love to drive these cars, and considering the density of
traffic these days, I was wondering if anyone had, or knew of anyone
who had, fitted front brakes to pre 1927 Hudsons. I can see that
fitting front discs would be quite simple but mounting the calipers
looks ugly. I know this would not be original but one must consider
safety.
I am also looking for the crankshaft fan belt pulley(mine got cracked
somehow) an ammeter, and a horn button. I have lots of 26 and 29 bits
available.
Regards, Karl
