27 Hudson F-Head Sizing and Securing Water Jacket Discs
Hi Again,
I am ready to place the head back and secure it. I have learned from
prior messages the two open holes in the center of the block were
formed for sand casting purposes.
I have purchased disks, but I am not sure if I have purchased the
correct size or shape. The two center holes adjacent to the pistons
measure 1.5".
The discs I have purchased are 1 3/8" curved steal discs. If I hit
them while in place they may flatten out to the required size, but I
feel uneasy about doing this.
Questions:
1) Should I find flat disks the 1.5" in size or?
2) Should I attempt to somehow sodder the discs in place or?
Thank you,
Rick Gatling.
