Early 27 Head Gasket Questions

Hi Again,



I have taken 3 photos which were uploaded to the "Files" section and

are listed under "Early '27 Hudson Questions".



One photograph shows the head gasket and discs in place.

Another photograph shows a close up the head gasket with a small tear

in the copper.

The last photograph taken is a picture of a head gasket I bought many

years ago and which I was told was an early '27 head gasket.



I don't know whether it is because it does not show all of the water

jacket holes similarly to the head gasket in the first photograph.



Questions:



1) Will the small tear (1/8") in the copper pose problems. (There is

no tear in the middle section of the gasket)



2) The brass water jacket discs are just laying in place. Will this

pose a problem?



2) Can anyone tell me if the photo of the gasket taken by itself is

in fact an early 27 or?
