This car looks like the real deal. I would be very interested in what you can find out. Thanks0

Dealer describes it as "Mint". Then later mentions a rust hole and a tear in the upolstery.... as always, beware.0

Top of engine gold and bottom is red.0

I might be wrong, but it looks like the engine is gold and the tranny is red. By the way, is the exterior a Hudson color combination?0 -

You're right! The trans is red. The body color is appealing but the black top is a matter of taste, especially with that interior color.0 -
I wonder about that rust in the rocker panels I wonder what else is rusted and covered up by underseal0

Although the car is probably nice, the statements made regarding its condition exceed conveluted. I don't what an H-45 is/was (maybe H-145!) but wasn't the firedome name applied to Chrysler products? If this car was originally two tone, wouldn't the edges of the doors be body color?
Ad Translations:
Car WAS owned by a Hudson collector = Seller died years ago.
Cared for to the utmost degree = I exaggerate.
Mint = I have low standards.
If what you can see is bad, what you can't see has to be worse. :eek:0 -
I also take offense to the interior is mint like off the showroom floor. I for one am almost certain that Hudson did not sell any cars off the showroom floor with rips and duc tape on the front seat and I don't even think rips and duc tape was a dealer option....LOL
I absolutely positively hate car dealers who sell on ebay that know sweet bumpkiss about Hudsons or any other classic. The H45 Firedome being one blaring example of make crap up as you go along and hope for the best.....0 -

The rips, duct tape and seat rag were a special order, for car dealers only. Whoever intends to buy this car should inspect it personally or have someone else do so. Who knows, maybe this mint car really does have an H-45 Firepot engine, complete with a four speed liquid turbo-cruise hyperdrive tranconfigurator. LOL...Maybe I should rewrite the ad for them.0 -
Well, the guy is in it for the bucks, not for love of the marque. He does state that a POST- BUY inspection to make sure the buyer is happy with the deal is OK... that seems to be an "out" if I ever heard one. That said, I sure hope SRCraftsman2 has a chance to look it over and get back to me before I decide to bid on it! It wouldn't be the first time someone was right for the wrong reason.0
