Wooden spoke wheels

Hi can anybody give me advise on how to tighten up the wooden spoke

wheels on my 1929 Essex. When I drive the car I can hear them creaking

and when stationary when pulled they move.Unfortunately living in the

U.K there were not many cars made with wooden spoke wheels and

everybody I have spoken to dont seem to know. Any help would be much

appreciated.
