If you can get your hands on a Carter BB1 updraft
they work well. I had one on my 29 for many years before I restored the
car. I considered it better than the marvel with much less hassle.

The previous owner of this coach seems to have been very
resourcefull.
As with the headlights a practical but unacceptable inovation
was
accomplished by inverting the intake manifold and installing a 2
barrel
Stromberg with homemade adapter plate. I get the impression that
the
Marvel B can be a bit difficult in colder weather as far as the heat
riser function is concerned. Any advice as to what carb to use in at
least converting back to updraft? Thanks again.
