Mice crap in the F-Head
Last night I got looking in the two water jacket holes on the top of
the engine. They were filled with mice crap. I duct taped a 6 inch
piece of conduit to my shop vac and was able to extract all visible
signs of mice bedding.
1. What is the risk that the entire water jacket has crap in it?
2. What is the best way to flush it out? If I put 120 psi air in
through the water pump hole, will that blow out the passages and
then suck it out through the top? Do I blow from the top and suck
at the bottom?
3. Should I remove the head, will that allow better access to the
entire water jacket?
One thought was to rig a hose up to the top and bottom and try and
flush it. I would really like to get it cleaned out before I hook
it up to my nice new clean radiator.
Thoughts?
