are made of Brass and prone to cracking. I have found on occasion Steel
ones that I believe were used on 28's? They are identical and aren't
usually cracked, they also say Brown Bi-Lite just chrome plate and it's
over.

So I would suggest that you have them made of steel
instead of brass. The brass ones even seem to crack while the
