My 26 Clutch Leak
As a follow up, the flywheel bolts were in fact loose on my '26. In
fact, I spent the better part of a half hour tightening about a dozen
others as well. Many of the drivetrain bolts were loose and I hope this
will cure my "bleeding" problem. I changed the clutch fluid again this
morning and it's just like it was before, "black molasses". I guess I
need to be well stocked on lubricant, kerosene, and patience! I'm almost
certain now that these fluids have been not been changed since the late
1930's (last time the car was used as a daily driver). Thanks again
guys for all of your great advice! In my neck of the woods, I am
surrounded by Model A collectors and I'm the "kid that drives a
Franklin or some kind of early oddball foreign car" A FRANKLIN???!!!
