Fuel Supply Question

My '26 seems to be having a problem getting fuel. This one really

baffles me! I went through the entire fuel system(including carb)and

cannot find an obstruction. Here's the deal. I have an electric fuel

pump fitted on this car. I use the fuel pump to prime the carb for

easier starting (I have an on/off switch). The car will run for a few

minutes and then will stall. I repeat the process and it will run for a

minute and stall. I know that this car is has a vacuum tank. This is

the only part that has not been looked at. The only thing I've done is

checked the inlet/outlet lines to look for an obstruction.Can someone

tell me how this system works and what could be causing this problem.Is

it possible that this tank has an air leak? My window wiper system is

tapped into this tank and is working fine. Nothing is more frustrating

than to nurse a vehicle home that is starving for fuel.
