various odds and ends and advice wanted please

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone give me some advice on the speedo chain on my 21/22

Phaeton?does anyone have half a dozen links that they would like to

part with? or better still could anyone give me advice on changing

this to a cable?I do have both of the ends for the drive and the

speedo, could I get details of the overall length?I am struggling with

the packing needed to pack the water pump gland I have asked various

pump people here in the UK and they seem to have no idea what I am

talking about when I mention graphite rope,am I asking for the

correct product?I am at this moment refurbishing the 24 Coach which

was advertised on the group some months ago,it has briggs body, and I

am short of the pot metal component which houses the brass gears on

the drivers side window winding mechanism,is it possible that someone

maybe could help with this please,I am also short of a brass clip

which goes around the spark plug lead conduit and also holds the oil

pipe on its way to the oil gauge, sorry about all these wants but

being in the UK these lovely Hudsons are a bit thin on the ground,I

also am looking for, if by chance someone can help?on my coach I have

wooden wheels,I have all of the locking rings etc.but I am short of

one bolt, the spacer the lug&nut which go through the rim, about the

gentleman that is having trouble with his oil preasure, the first

Hudson which I bought was a Biddle and Smart Brougham, someone in the

sixties had worked on the engine, maybe through lack of knowledge they

had run the oil feed pipe straight from the pump in a straight line

to the crank case, and not put the bend which attaches to the oil pump

in order to retain a head of oil consequently, until we found this out

we had oil pressure problems,it is something we would take for

granted, but maybe not to obvious if you didnt know.(just an idea)

Thankyou ,Colin Daniels
