Question on the generator in my 26 Model O
Hello all,
I hope you are all doing well. I've been missing from this forum for
some time now, as a change of jobs in early 2007 has me very busy.
I am happy to report that my Hudson saw it's first road trip in 15
years just a month ago. I only drove it up the street to the
neighbors, chatted for awhile as it was running in the drive, and
then drove it back home. Good to know I've gotten a few things
ironed out (only to find a couple of others.)
Anyway, on to my question. I'm working with the guys at "FUN"
Projects trying to get my generator cutouts in line. John told me
that I needed an adjustable 3 brush type generator for his solid
state cutout points to work properly.
So, I've removed my generator, and have verified that I do have a 3
brush generator, but I'm not sure about the adjustable part. I
noticed a screw on the outside of the housing that loosens a plate
that appears to hold the 3rd brush in place, but then I loosen the
plate, I can't seem to move the brush.
Am I missing something, or just not doing it properly? Can anyone
help?
Thanks, and I hope you all have a great "American" holiday this week.
