Sorry again about the multiple posts of
rubbish.  Is there any way to delete these from the site? 
Incidentally, that car ran in the 1922 Agentine GP.  The excursion of the
con rod through the crankcase happened during a race in 1923.  This appears
to be a real historic race car and not a later year backyard
special.

Hi gang, a fascinating discussion.  I am
going to try to attach some photos of Pablo Alvarez's single seat GP racer in
Argentina.  Pablo first contacted me when he was looking for a
head.  I believe he eventually repaired it.  Note the neat brass
plate where number six rod got tired of working in the dark and the
corresponding divots taken out of number six combustion chamber.  I would
love to take a drive in that car.
