Thought I would try one more time
Does any one have any tricks on how to pass the exhaust pipe through
the DAMPER BODY ASSEMBLY?... .. I am in the prosses of rebuilding my
exhaust and intake system on my 29. The car is very stock and its very
important to keep it LOOKING that way. I am taking the advise of my dad
( Karl )and stoping the exhaust from passing throught the heat risser,
but want to keep the heat-tube in place. The problem is my DAMPER BODY
(aft of the manifold) is shot! What I want to do is??? pass the exhaust
throught the damper body and have the exhaust flange sandwiched between
the manifold end and the damper body. The problem being the stainless
tube will be inside the cast iron damper body and I'm concerned that
the heat will be to much and rot out the stainless pipe.
Any one have any ideas????
