Push Rod Clearance
I was just about to mount the centre casting to the crankcase and I thought I should check the clearance on the push rods. They are okay in the upper head, but really sloppy in the center section. What is the allowable clearance in the guides in the block? I would say I have 0.005"-0.010" clearance right now.
(I just replaced my exhaust guides. My local engine re-builder used an diesel truck guide, that was almost exactly the same as the Hudson guide, aside from the spring locator which I salvaged from my old guides. Now I'm thinking I have to do the guides for the push rods too.)
Any help would be appreciated, as always.
