Success!!! - Now Engine Mount Die Springs
First off thanks to everyone on the board here my Super six fired right up and runs nicely.
Confessions:
a) I am using a Ford Autolite carb from a 290 cubic inch 6 cylinder engine, my original carb is not repairable as of now.
b) I guess that means I will be using a fuel pump hidden away somewhere
c) I had to add shims to my con rods (twice) but now it is loose enough to run but does not knock
d) I did not buy a new head gasket so that will be next now that I know I have a runner.
Now: does anybody know what die springs I should be buying to mount my engine?
McMaster Carr has flat springs, but I need the wire thickness, I.D., and length if someone has that info. Alternatively I will keep searching for my old springs and post the info myself.
