Electris pump for E More and float issue

I had the same problem with my 28; to solve the problem took some thought. The vacuum tank was my solution; I took the float out of the tank completly and taped a pipe thread into the bottom were the drain is. I than installed a 6" close nipple. I removed the drain valve and installed a copper line back to the gas tank;I kept the gravity feed to the carb. When I turn on the pump, it fills the tank to the top of the nipple and folows back to the tank; 6" of fuel in the tank has about the correct pressur for the needle valve. Hope this helps E. More.

The shellac on my cork float was flakeing off from the alcohol in the gas; to solve this I got a cataloge at my local auto parts supple and thumbed through the pages and found a brass float with a similar shape and size. I than used a butaine torch and removed the needle valve hardware (remember to open the small hole in the float that allows for air expantion and reseal after) I than took the needle valve off the cork float filed down the two little tits that stick into the cork and soldered this arm onto the bress float, end of problems.
