Cyl Head Manufacture
I attended the Iola Old Car Show in Iola, Wisconsin this past weekend. At the swap meet I talked to a fellow who's son had an aluminum head made for his Studebaker 6. Since replacing the cracking cast iron head with the new aluminum head he hasn't had any trouble.
The company had a 2 head minimum requirement. The cost to manufacture the heads was $5000 Dad was trying to sell the second head at the show to recoup some of the expense. The head was a very impressive piece of work.
Certainly with the amount of interest that has been generated here in the group that cost per head should be reduced significantly. I have posted a picture of the head along with the manufactures information in an existing file named "Hudson Head". The picture is the only one in the file. Hope this will be of some help in making a decision in this project.
Good luck,
Bob
