Rods and Pistons question
I was curious about rod length and piston height. For my 17 SS motor, I have later rods and pistons (ring groove is 1/4 versus 3/16). My rods do not have the bolt for the pins, they have the clips. Were the rods for the later pistons 1/4" shorter than the earlier rods? Should I be concerned that using the later rods and pistons will push the piston above the cylinder block deck?
