1929 Hudson Cam thrust washer

I dropped the pan on my 29 last night. I don't have a thrust washer installed and really want to put the whole washer in. If I remove the radiator, can I remove the cam without removing the head,valves and lifters? If I release the valve springs, can I lift the valve and remove the lifter so I can pull the cam out?
