1928 Essex oil leak.

Hello everyone,

I have recently started running my
28 Essex,I have had the sump off and cleaned it,made sure that the
drain hole beneath the back main was clear replaced the sump and I am
having quite a heavy oil  drip from the back main area,as this car is
newish to me I dont know if the drip was there when I bought the car as the car
was a non runner,is this some thing to expect from this model?,does this model
have an oil seal on the back main bearing or is it just a throw?does anyone have
any ideas on how I can reduce the drip, the other question is about the plugs
that I am using at the moment and they are ACDelco C87 are these OK ?or is there
something better,is it ever possible also on this model to get a nice pink burn
instead of rich black soot on the plugs? I have tried adjusting the
carb.but to no avail.thanks for taking the time to read this, and I await
your suggestions,

Kind regards
