Re: New Castings - Guide to Clum Switch Rebuilding
I wrote the guide to rebuild the Clum switch. I'd be happy to help anyone as best as I can. I've rebuilt 2. One for my 29 sedan and one of Jon Lombard. The guide is posted in the File Section - has lots of pics.
Rebuilding these switchs is only part. If you want to increase light candle power relays have to be installed, actually relays should be installed regardless. These clum switches are usually worn at the contacts and require rebuild of the contacts. To insure a much longer life, the relays are used to switch the high current loads and the switch now just switches the relay coil current.
Read the Guide I wrote and ask questions.
