Re: .Stewart Tank

I must admit that I am a fan of electric fuel
pumps.  This is for a couple of reasons.  You do not have to remember
to turn off the gas at the vacuum tank every time you park the car for more than
a few days.  In British Columbia where we live roads are mountainous with
things like 10 miles of continuous 6% grades.  The 29 will pull it in
high gear no problem but there is not enough engine vacuum to suck from the
main tank.  Very annoying to have Model As passing you going up long hills
when you have to go to 2nd gear just to get enough vacuum.  With an
electric pump you can also use a conventional fuel filter ahead of the pressure
regulator.  All this can be out of sight of course and the vacuum tank
appear to be functional.

My 2 cents
