Hudson Super 6 at History Channel American Pickers Antique Archaeolo

Saw a photo of Mike Wolfe on his web site with a super six/essex shell in the background (follow link).

I gathered up some buddies that have cars that can not beat me and we drove for hundreds of miles to do the radiator shell pick. . . After driving rain, lightning, wind, and plenty of getting lost and not stopping we arrived in time to do the pick.  I did accuse the driver of the '31 Model A roadster pickup of trying to shove the back of his truck through my super six radiator shell a few times in the heaviest rain - he had brakes in the front and rear.

The American Pickers took some shots, posted them on the antique archaeology facebook page with that pick out of the way we went to the brew pub across the street to wait out the storm, (the candles that provided light on the '15 model T kept blowing out).  I did fry the coil in the super six in the haste of getting to the bar I left the ignition on after shutting off the fuel.  So I have a coil to change in the dark, in the rain, but after several beers and a steak cooked rarer than my coil so all was good.  No other colamities - Next day we raced home under blue sky.
