Pulling and Pusher Gears
Hello all, Time been ages... I'll get to the point I have a gear pulling problem I'm breaking down a straight 8 and I need help pulling the front gear without damaging it. The shop book calls for a J-471 puller and J-483 pusher any thoughts where I can find these or other means of removal and replacement.
Thank To All,

Ox, Try going to your local NAPA store and ask for a Bearing Splitter tool. It actually has two halves which can get into tight areas to pull bearings out. In addition to this tool, you will need a cross arm puller to attach to the bearing splitter to get the pulling action. Most US made pullers{the quality stuff} is made by OTC in either Michigan or Minnesota. Good luck0
