Manifold sealing ring.

Am at the stage where I want to fasten the exhaust pipe to the mainifold and don't have a sealing/packing ring. My car is a 1918, are there rings available as at the moment my current thoughts are to use a piece of heat resistant gasket wrapped around the pipe which can compress onto the exhaust pipe as I tighten the threaded ring.

Any help would be appreciated.
